FAQ
Kowint's batteries are highly compatible with a wide range of solar inverters. The batteries use RS485, CAN, or RS232 communication protocols, which are supported by most major inverter brands like SMA, Growatt, Solax, Victron, Deye, and more.
If you have an existing solar inverter, it's always a good idea to confirm the specific model's communication protocols before finalizing your purchase.
Lithium-iron-phosphate cells deliver ≈6 000–8 000 cycles (about 10–15 years of daily use). The actual lifespan can vary based on how the battery is used, the temperature, and how well it's maintained.
We provide 10-year warranty for Residential & Commercial energy storage products. 5 years for lithium batteries and UPS
1. KS-233A: Total capacity of 233 kWh.
2. S40K: Capacity ranges from 10.24 kWh to 40.96 kWh, depending on the number of modules.
3. R5000: Capacity for the ranges from 5.12 kWh to 158.72 kWh
Absolutely. Kowint's batteries are specifically designed to integrate seamlessly with solar energy systems. Whether for residential, commercial, or industrial applications, they are perfect for use with photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays. They allow users to store solar energy during the day for use at night or during cloudy periods. The batteries are also compatible with hybrid inverters, which manage both solar energy and grid power, offering flexibility for various configurations.

Kowint batteries have relatively low maintenance costs, and we recommend that you monitor/check your system regularly to maximize battery life. If any component needs to be replaced, please contact us at info@kowint.com.
Yes, Kownt's energy storage batteries can be connected to the grid to achieve two-way energy flow, optimize energy use and reduce electricity costs. If you want to learn more about the grid-connected function, please email our technical team.
Yes, Kowint batteries come equipped with a comprehensive Battery Management System (BMS) that provides a variety of protective functions to ensure safe operation. These features include overcharge protection, over-discharge protection, short-circuit protection, temperature monitoring, and over-current protection.
Kowint provides cloud platform monitoring App and Web, which can track real-time performance through links, monitor charge/discharge status, and help you master the health and efficiency of your battery.
We assess defects closely before deciding on repair or replacement. Preferably, we use remote diagnosis for distant issues but on-site repairs are available. Our FAE engineering team offers 24/7 support.
Absolutely. Our production capabilities are robust, featuring two semi-automated and two fully automated production lines. When operating all four lines for 10 hours daily, we achieve a production capacity of approximately 26,000 battery modules per month. This setup ensures a steady and reliable supply to meet our clients' demands.
The EMS tools we provide offer a comprehensive view of your system's performance. They display the current running status, real-time power metrics, and both daily and cumulative energy data. Additionally, these tools allow for the convenient configuration of various system parameters, ensuring a user-friendly experience in monitoring and managing your energy systems.
Our BMS is equipped with advanced auto-addressing technology. This feature enables the system to automatically recognize and integrate new modules post-installation. This seamless process negates the need for manual configuration of battery module addresses, simplifying the expansion of your storage capacity.
Our company has forged enduring partnerships with several top-tier battery cell manufacturers. Presently, our collaborations include renowned names in the industry such as CALB, EVE, CATL, Slcopoly, ETC, Hlgee, Llshen, among others. This diverse range of partnerships ensures we maintain high standards and broad compatibility in our products.
The S40K series starts at a capacity of 10.24kWh with the inclusion of two battery modules, offering 5.12kWh per module (2.24kWh per module according to European standards). Each set in this series can be expanded up to a total of eight modules.
